PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the stable generation of spark by providing a plurality of conductive members arranged in a line which are isolated to an electrode and isolated each other, and prescribing a path of an isolator for ignition spark between two electrodes disposed on the opposite side of an injection valve with the plural conductive members. SOLUTION: When fuel is injected from an injection valve 10 into a combustion chamber, the most part of the fuel is vaporized to be mixed with air, but a part of the fuel is guided close to a conductive member 20 as small liquid- drops in a stream of an isolator 17 of an ignition plug 11 to the opposite side. When ignition voltage is supplied to a center electrode 18, a strong electric field is formed in a range between a head 19 of the center electrode 18 and the conductive member 20 adjacent to the head 19 on a surface of the isolator 17. The strong electric field generates spark in each gap between the electrodes 16, 18 and the conductive member 20, and the spark extends from the first electrode 18 to the second electrode 16 over the conductive member 20, so that mixed air flowing around the isolator 17 is satisfactorily ignited.
