PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a crosslinkable water-base paint given an excellent long-term weathering resistance as well as excellent balance among water resistance, gloss, adhesion, stain resistance and low temperature resistance. SOLUTION: The composition are obtained by compounding (A) an aqueous resin dispersion comprising a carbonyl group-containing copolymer having an average particle size of 0.15μm or less and obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture comprising (1) 1-8 pts.wt. of a carbonyl group-containing monomer, (2) 1-5 pts.wt. of a carboxyl group-containing monomer, (3) 77-98 pts.wt. of an unsaturated monomer such as acrylic acid or the like, (4) 0-25 pts.wt. of a vinyl aromatic compound and (5) 0-10 pts.wt. of other monomers wherein specific kinds and the amounts of the monomers (3) and (4) are selected, (B) a hydrazine derivative and (C) 1-70 pts.wt., in terms of the nonvolatile content, based on 100 pts.wt. of the nonvolatile content of (A), of an aqueous resin dispersion of an alkoxysilyl group-containing copolymer. |
