PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant synthetic resin composition which does not generate a toxic gas on burning by compounding a synthetic resin with an ammonium polyphosphate compound and 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4- piperidinolnitroxy radical, each in a specified amount. SOLUTION: The synthetic resin of 100 pts.wt. is compounded with 3-30 pts.wt. ammonium polyphosphate compound and/or amine (poly)phosphate of formula I and 0.1-10 pts.wt. 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinolnitroxy radical of formula II. In the formulas, X1 is [R1R2N(CH2)mNR3R4], piperazine, or a diamine having a piperazine ring; R1 to R4 are each H or a 1-5C linear or branched alkyl; m is 1-10; Y1 is NH3 or a triazine derivative group of formula III; n is 1-100; Z1 and Z2 are each -NR5R6, OH, SH, a 1-10C linear or branched alkyl, 1-10C alkoxy, phenyl, or vinyl; and R5 and R6 are each H, a 1-6C linear or branched alkyl, or methylol. |
