PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient aligning performance within a short time. SOLUTION: End parts of paper sheets are aligned while applying, by movable plates 20a, 20b, vertical vibration and lateral/longitudinal vibration respectively to the paper sheets set on a paper sheet feeding part 11 having the first face plate 11a for receiving lower ends of the paper sheets and the second face plate 11b for receiving their rear ends. That is, a space between adjacent paper sheets is separated by the lateral/longitudinal vibration to reduce contact resistance between the paper sheets, the paper sheets are descended by the vertical vibration, and alignment of the paper sheets is finished thereby within a short time.
