PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video printer capable of being miniaturized, preventing an object from being brought into contact with printing paper during printing and capable of affording a good-quality print by providing protectors for guarding portions protruding from various faces of the printing paper during printing. SOLUTION: Lower edge sections of protectors 8 are rotatably fitted to the lower end sections of the side faces 2a, 2b of a body section 2, and folded pieces 8b folded nearly perpendicularly to main sections 8a are formed at the upper end sections. The protectors 8 are rotated between the usage position and the storage position. When the protectors 8 are located at the storage position, the main sections 8a cover printing paper entry/exit opening sections 6, 7 and are locked by a lock mechanism. When the protectors 8 are located at the usage position, they guard printing paper 9 from being kept in contact with an object, and the printing paper 9 is prevented from being kept in contact with the object resulting in deteriorating the quality of a print during printing.
