PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a closer to a container without allowing the closer to be damaged on attachment of the closer to the container by a method wherein a non- screw-up fixing device to be fixed to the positioned closer is added to a screw-up fixing device and the non-screw-up fixing device is made movable relatively against the screw-up fixing device. SOLUTION: While a closer holding device 4 serving as a screw-up fixing device holds a closer 2 at a starting position against a container 1, a non-screw- up fixing device, namely a suction fixing device 5, is brought into contact with the flat back of the closer 2 and fixed so that it cannot turn nor move. After the suction fixing device 5 is firmly fixed to the closer 2, screw-up holding by the closer holding device 4 is released and the closer holding device is removed from the closer 2. The suction fixing device 5 is linearly moved toward the container 1 along the lineup line A by operation of a driving device. The closer 2 is guided along the longitudinal axis of screwing, and the rotating container 1 and the closer 2 are united. After that, the suction fixing device 5 is released with pressure applied.
