摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an occupant protecting device in an early time independently of the collision configuration of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A floor sensor 32 measures the deceleration G to be applied to a vehicle in the fore and aft direction thereof and outputs a measurement value G. A computing unit performs the predetermined computing to the measurement value G output from the floor sensor 32 so as to obtain a computed value (f) (G). A starting discriminating unit is provided with a threshold value change pattern to be changed with the speed (v) of a non-fixed material. The starting discriminating unit obtains the threshold value corresponding to the speed (v) from the change pattern and compares the threshold value with the computed value (f) (G). In the case where the computed value (f) (G) exceeds the threshold value, the starting signal is output to a driving circuit. In the case where the deceleration more than the predetermined reference value is applied to the vehicle, a satellite sensor 30 outputs the ON signal. A threshold value change pattern selecting unit 42 changes a change pattern of the threshold value in relation to the speed (v) used in the starting judging unit to other change pattern in response to the ON signal from the satellite sensor 30.
