PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexibility concentratedly to a tread center part of an innermost belt ply and also increase the strength of a plunger effectively without impairing uneven wear resistance and the like. SOLUTION: This heavy duty tire comprises a carcass having one sheet of carcass ply using a steel carcass cord and a belt layer 7 comprising three or more sheets of belt plies 11, 12 and 13 using steel belt cord 20. The innermost belt ply 11 is provided with a waved area Y1, where a belt cord 20A is bent by waving in a ply plane, at a tire center part including a tire equator CO.
