PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a data-processing apparatus (for example, an image output apparatus) which requires a small memory capacity as a whole and requires a less time for accessing to a memory and transferring data between memories, with a short total process time. SOLUTION: A common buffer is used in functional blocks of the data- processing apparatus. A data memory position (e.g. a pointer indicating a memory address) in the buffer used in common among the functional blocks is primarily transmitted and received. The data-processing apparatus requiring a small memory capacity as a whole is thus realized. Since the buffer is used in common and the data memory position is transmitted and received, the data-processing apparatus which requires a less time for accessing to a memory and transferring data between memories and has a short total process time is realized.
