PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder receiving a print data in units of job, storing the print data temporarily in a memory and then reading out and printing the stored print data sequentially in which waiting time is eliminated by printing a print data of a specified number of pages or less preferentially when a plurality of unprinted data is stored in the memory. SOLUTION: Upon receiving a print request from a server PC or a client PC1,..., PCn, a recorder P receives a print data from these units. If the number of sheets of print data is equal to or less than a reference number of sheets of 2a, that print job is stored in first execution queue 2c otherwise the print job is stored in second execution queue 2d. When the print job is stored in the first execution queue 2c, waiting time of a print job at the forward end is stored in the second execution queue 2d is determined. If it is shorter than a reference time, execution of that print job is waited and execution of a print job at the forward end of the first execution queue 2c is started and a corresponding print data is read out from an image memory 3 and printed at a recording section 6.
