PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute printing of high precision by an economical method, irrespective of dimensional fluctuation of an intaglio, a matter to be printed and a blanket. SOLUTION: An apparatus for offset printing is equipped with a blanket cylinder 8 supported rotatably and a table 4 which is movable relatively to the cylinder at a prescribed distance therefrom and whereon a printing plate and a matter to be printed are fixed. By moving the table relatively to the blanket cylinder in the direction of printing, the ink filled in the printing plate on the table is received by a blanket wound on the blanket cylinder and also the received ink is transferred onto the matter to be printed on the table. The apparatus is provided with a means 51 for measuring the position of the surface of the blanket, a means 50 for measuring the position of the surface of the plate or the matter on the table and inclination correcting means 60 and 61 and height correcting means 41 and 42 which correct the inclination and the height of the plate or the matter on the table on the basis of the results of these measurements so as to regulate plate pressure or printing pressure on the occasion of the reception or transfer of the ink.
