PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for quickly drying the inner and outer faces of a shaking type fishing rod even in a normal indoor space. SOLUTION: This drying tool F dries a shaking type fishing rod, and is provided with a base B on which a supporting axis J, provided with a plurality of arms E2 to E5 at given points, stands. The fishing rod is held on the base B almost upright, with the outermost fishing rod section at the lowest position, after the plug in the butt section is removed, and the inner rod sections decreasing in diameter towards the tip being held by the supporting axis J. The arms E2 to E5 correspond to the outermost fishing rod section or inner fishing rod sections except the rod tip, E5 having the largest diameter, and E1 to the rod tip as the slenderest fishing rod section. The upper end of each of the arms E2 to E5 and supporting axis J has a diameter which is larger than the inner diameter of the corresponding outermost or inner fishing rod section, but does not exceed the outer diameter of the corresponding section.
