PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the downsizing of a reel and improve the operability of the reel in the lever drag type double bearing reel. SOLUTION: This lever drag type double bearing reel is provided with a reel main body 1 having a spool 4 disposed therein, a handle 2 rotatably supported on the right side of the reel main body 1, and a drag lever 3 swingably attached to the side opposite to the handle-attached side of the reel main body 1. In the reel main body l, a drag mechanisms 6 for braking the spool 4 by the operation of the drag lever 3, and a clutch mechanism 7 for engaging or disengaging the spool 4 with the spool shaft 5 are disposed. Since the drag lever 3 and a handle 72 for operating the clutch mechanism 7 are arranged on the side opposite to the handle-attached side, the members can easily be operated. The distance between the handle 2 and the reel main body 1 can be shortened.
