PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating tea tree resistant to insect pest by which the yield is increased, and further to provide a method for producing a green tea having good color of the tea leaf itself, capable of providing tea having good color and reduced astringent taste. SOLUTION: An active water C obtained by dissolving natural salt and oxygen in water is scattered on leaves or on the soil at the neighbor of a stem of a tea tree A. The natural salt or the active water is charged in a production step of rough tea. The natural salt is the one produced by naturally crystallizing sea water in a salt pan made of a ceramic only by the solar light.
