Method and system for website overview

A method for use in a device for displaying an overview of data that resides on a server. The server includes a set of instructions and associated multimedia elements for displaying a first portion of the data. The set of instructions is retrieved at the device such that the associated multimedia elements remain un-retrieved by the device and a link is identified that links the first portion of the data to a second portion of the data. An overview that includes a representation of the first and second portions of data is then displayed.
