PURPOSE:To provide an inspecting device for a printed paper face capable of detecting a reflected light quantity at a specific level from the whole of the printed paper face by removing influences by a difference and others of a light quantity with which each pixel is irradiated. CONSTITUTION:An inspecting device for a printed paper face 1 stores a reference value of a reflected light quantity for each pixel on a printing paper face printed with a printing machine like a rotary press or the like in a reference density storage area 4a, and detects a reflected light quantity on the paper face printed for each pixel with a reflected light quantity detecting part 5. Further, the inspecting device for the printed paper face, when it detects a reflected light quantity of one paper face content for each pixel, calculates the maximum value of the reflected light quantity detected for each line per line, and corrects the detected reflected light quantity by using the maximum value. Then, the corrected reflected light quantity value is compared with a reference value, and whether or not a failure in printing like staining or the like is generated on the printing paper face, is detected. |
