A wavelength division multiplexer/demultiplexer including input fibers and an optical filter. The filter is oriented at a first angle relative to a first input filter and at a second angle relative to a second input filter. The filter oriented at the first angle is configured to transmit a first optical wavelength and transmit all other wavelengths. The filter oriented at the second angle is configured to transmit a second optical wavelength and reflect all other wavelengths. A return loop provides the reflected wavelengths from output fibers to the input fibers. In this manner, a plurality of multiplexers/demultiplexers may be concatenated to separate a plurality of channels or channel bands. |
