PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high resolution in a large image size. SOLUTION: This imaging lens system 1 has a first lens group 2 arranged in its magnifying side A, a second lens groups 3 arranged in its reducing side B with respect to the first lens group 2, and a diaphragm 5 arranged in an intermeadiate position with respect to the lens group 2 to be coincided with a resultant focal point position 4 in the magnifying side A of the second lens group 3. A view angle is enlarged by constituting the first lens group 2 in the magnifying side A of the lens system 1 to have negative power as a whole so as to provide a large image-plane size. Curvature of an image face and astigmatism caused by a lens having negative power in the first lens group 2 are easily corrected by arranging a lens 11 having positive power in the most magnifying side A, so as to enhance resolution.
