PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically improve a cap allowable range and to effectively detect the gap between a detecting element and a material to be detected is slightly varied by setting a total resistance value of a parallel rectangular magnetic sensitive part of a huge magnetoresistance effect film formed in a pattern shape which is drawn by a line segment to a specific ratio of the resistance value of the overall magnetic field sensor magnetic sensitive part. SOLUTION: A huge magnetoresistance effect film 10 is a film which acts as a magnetic field sensor magnetic sensitive part and is constituted to have a parallel magnetic sensitive group 110 and an orthogonal magnetic sensitive group 150. A total resistance value R1 of a parallel rectangular magnetic sensitive part 10 existing in the group 110 is preferably set to 30 to 70%, more preferably 45 to 55% of the value R of the overall magnetic sensor magnetic sensitive part (or the huge magnetoresistance effect film as a whole, if the overall huge magnetoresistance effect film is operated as the magnetic field sensor magnetic sensitive part). If this relation is represented by the equation, R1/R0=0.3 to 0.7 is obtained. When the ratio of the R1 value becomes less than 30% or exceeds 70%, a remarkable effect of enlarging a gap allowable range is not developed.
