PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance having a windshield weighing chamber wherein the smoothness of opening/closing operation of a windshield door, i.e., a side glass can be improved, while suppressing the total manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The balance comprises leaf springs 2A, 2B as means for exerting a biassing force on a windshield door against a moment for tilting guides 3A, 3B with centers at their ends due to the weights of side glasses 9A, 8B when these glasses move outwards from the ends of the guides 3A, 3B to make the moment act. The spring force of the leaf springs 2A, 2B blocks the side glasses 9A, 9B form tilting, thus the horizontal movement can be done smoothly.
