PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile system where not only a facsimile number but also name information can automatically be registered in a one-operation storage section. SOLUTION: In this system, a transmitter side 1st facsimile terminal 2(a) transmits a registration request signal and its own name information to a receiver side 2nd facsimile terminal 3(a). When the receiver side 2nd facsimile terminal 3(a) receives the registration request signal and the name information from the transmitter side 1st facsimile terminal 2(a), the receiver side 2nd facsimile terminal 3(a) registers a sender number and the received name information to a one-operation storage section 29 as a facsimile number used when image data are transmitted and name information of a facsimile terminal specified by this facsimile number.
