The process for obtaining figures comprises the following stages: a) introduction into a mould of an initial volume of product which is approximately equal to that of the article to be obtained; b) closing the mould, if the introduction of the initial volume of product has taken place with the mould open; c) the application of an additional pressure on the product housed initially in the mould, by means of the introduction inside the latter of an additional volume of product; d) the opening of the mould; and e) the removal of the shaped piece. The device comprises a mould composed of two or more complementary parts and having an opening opposite which, optionally, there is a pusher or connected to which there is a product supply device. <IMAGE>
