PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reproducibility of output image by reproducing an image of high definition by carrying out density control prior to image formation when forming a specific image. SOLUTION: In this image-forming device, a density control mode is started, when a specific printing mode is instructed from pay image information, the density of a toner image formed on an image carrier is detected by a density detection executing part, and the detected result is sent to a density control setting part (S201, 202). Then, a most appropriate developing bias is calculated, and the developing bias at the time of image formation is set (S203). Here, a number (n) of frequeny that density control is carried out in the first specific printing mode is counted. If the number of times that the density control is carried out reaches the number of times (a) (a is an arbitrary number), or if the density control result is decided as being acceptable, even when the number is smaller than the number of times a (S205, 206), whether or not there is a request for carrying out density control from a user is confirmed (207). If there is a request from the user for carrying out density control, the density control is carried out again (S202), but if there is no request, the image formation of the pay image is made to start (S208). |
