PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a reproducing without a problem while a pitch is shifted in the reproducing device which is provided with an asynchronous type waveform memory that stores compressed waveform samples. SOLUTION: Under the control of a memory controller 5, four ADPCM music waveform samples are simultaneously read from a RAM 6, decoded in an ADPCM decoder 7 and ADPCM music waveform samples S0 and S1 are outputted to an interpolater 8. Then, samples S are obtained by interpolating the samples S0 and S1 based on decimal part data FRA from a phase information generating section 1. The samples S are accumulated for all channels by an accumulator 9 and outputted with a period of a sampling frequency fs. Latest samples after a decoding are temporarily stored in the decoder 7. The ADPCM music waveform samples are successively decoded one by one using the samples as predicted values. |
