<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the picture quality of an image, which is expanded on the side of decoding, in an expansion area from being deteriorated by providing a multiplexing part for multiplexing encoded image data, format transforming part for transforming these data to a display image format and display part, etc., for displaying the format transformed data. SOLUTION: On the side of transmission, encoded data encoded so as to sharpen the picture quality in the expansion area are outputted to a multiplexing part 107, multiplexed by the multiplexing part 107 and transmitted through a communication line. On the side of reception, this transmitted multiplexed data are received and moving image encoded data, which are demultiplexed by a demultiplexing part 112, are decoded by a moving image decoding part 111 and outputted to an output image format transforming part 110. At the image format transforming part 110, expanding processing is performed in the expansion area and expansion rate designated by a user. The image, to which expanding processing is performed, is sent to a display part 109 and a picture, to which expanding processing is performed, is displayed at a designated display position by a designated display method.</p> |
