SOLUTION: A facsimile server (FAX server) 2 provided with a function of an Internet server stores an original to be sent, transmits a URL corresponding to a storage area storing this original to a personal computer 5, and transmits the original corresponding to the URL to the personal computer 5 when the personal computer 5 returns this URL.
