<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize decoding with less image quality deterioration in the case of tandem connection of decoders. SOLUTION: Each decoder that decodes a coding stream is provided with a decoding circuit 103 (110) that receives information denoting a coding type (picture type) designated in the past coding processing applied to the coding stream and that decodes the coding stream on the basis of the information denoting the coding type, and provided with a multiplexer circuit 105 (111) that transmits the information denoting the coding type so that re-coding processing can be conducted by using the same coding type as that in the past coding processing in the case of applying the re-coding processing to the video data decoded by the decoding circuit 103 (110).</p> |
