PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system with an excellent acoustic characteristic where an acoustic tube is placed on the front face of a speaker unit used for a video device or the like such as a television receiver. SOLUTION: The speaker system is provided wit a speaker unit 1, an opening 15 that is formed nearly to be a rectangle and is coupled with a front face of the speaker unit 1, and an acoustic tube 13 having an inner face through which a smooth air flow from the speaker unit 1 toward the opening 15 is obtained and a rib 16 extended in a tubular direction of the tube 13 on the inner wall of the tube 13. In this way, a speaker system is realized where a low reproduction frequency limit is extended, sound is more naturally reproduced with low distortion while suppressing production of abnormal sound and a flat sound frequency characteristic is obtained.
