摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align a solid-state image pickup element without the need for changing a chart even when a size of the solid-state image pickup element, a pixel size and a pixel pitch are changed. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an image forming means 1 such as lenses, a chart 2 that is placed at a position opposite to the image forming means 1, on which a plurality of circles with different diameters are described around an optical axis of the image forming means 1 and a plurality of circles with different diameters are described around a position at the outside of the optical axis of the image forming means 1, a position adjustment means 5 that aligns positions of the solid-state image pickup elements 4R, 4G, 4B with respect to prisms 3R, 3G, 3B, a mechanism control means 6 that controls the position adjustment means 5, a video signal generating means 7 that drives the solid-state image pickup elements 4R, 4G, 4B to generate a video signal from the output of them, a memory-means 8 that stores the video signal generated by the video signal generating means 7, and an arithmetic processing means 9 that calculates a gravity center position of the circles on the chart 2 on the basis of the video signal stored in the memory means 8 stored in the memory means 8, obtains data for aligning the solid-state image pickup elements 4R, 4G, 4B, and gives the data to the mechanism control means 6.
