PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a format sheet from a remote machine not preparing a format sheet on which a mark or the like is described at any time. SOLUTION: A storage section 4 of a center machine 1 stores in advance a format sheet image 6. A remote machine 3 makes a format request to the center machine 1 to receive and prints out the format sheet image 6. A mark or the like is described on the format sheet image 6 and the marked sheet image is sent back to the center machine 1. The center machine 1 compares the format sheet image 6 (Df) with a received marked sheet image (Dr) and applies conversion processing to the result and to obtain a recognition image (D) for the described information.
