PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium capable of simultaneously attaining the improvement of the reading accuracy of an address mark and the increase of the data recording capacity. SOLUTION: The address marks with the prescribed number of bits recorded along the running direction of each track in parallel to each other are recorded by plural transition parts (G0)-(G7) as the boundary parts or unbounded parts in two kinds of the states readable with a head and also recorded by classifying to groups for every two bits. Between the 1st transition parts (G0, G2, G4, G6) correspondent to the 1st bits of each group and the 2nd transition parts (G1, G3, G5, G7) correspondent to the 2nd bits, parity transition parts (P01, P23, P45, P67) are provided for putting in order the respective states of the positions right before and right after each corresponding group over each address mark arranged in parallel, to either one state of above-mentioned two kinds of states.
