PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active type oscillation reducing device capable of operating without a supply of energy or with a supply of a small amount of energy. SOLUTION: This active type oscillation reducing device is provided with a moving mass 2 mounted on an oscillating object 1, an energy converter 3 for performing interconversion between the moving energy of the moving mass 2 and the energy capable of being accumulated, an energy accumulating means 4 for accumulating energy, a sensor 5 for detecting the oscillation of the oscillating object 1, an oscillation control means 6 for determining a target amount of control of the moving mass 2 so that the detected oscillation can be reduced, and a switching control means 7 for controlling whether energy is to be accumulated or not based on the target amount of control and the present moving state quantity of the moving mass.
