PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a telephone set for selecting one of plural different and audible call sounds based on received call relating information concerning an incoming call by selecting call sound kinds from a call relating information/call sound type relating table by means of the coincidence of received call relating information with previously stored relation. SOLUTION: The call sound types are selected from the call relating information/call sound type relating table, for example, by the coincidence of received call relating information with previously stored relation between call relating information and the call sound types. The telephone set 10 is provided with a database for relating the whole or a part of call relating information to the specified audible call sound type. The relation of received call relating information with the usable call sound types is stored in an entry in the call relating information/call sound type relating table 24. In this kind of telephone set 10, a caller is judged before replaying to an incoming telephone call by simply hearing the audible call sound from the call sound device 30 of the telephone set 10 through the use of the whole or a part of received call relating information.
