PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide comfortable feeling of heating and prevent the local temperature rise of an air outlet port by a method wherein mixing of indoor air stream and combustion waste gas is improved and variability in the temperature of hot air is reduced with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A hot air heater is constituted so that an air control plate 18, arranged at the optimum place of the upper inside wall of a combustion tube 17 so as to be slanted obliquely against the flow of combustion waste gas to distribute the combustion waste gas into left and right, is provided to regulate the mixing of the flow of combustion waste gas and the air flow from a fan 21. According to this method, a part of the combustion waste gas can be guided and dispersed into the slanting direction of the air control plate 18 whereby the mixing of the combustion waste gas and the indoor air stream can be improved.
