PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simplified editing by facilitating the retrieval of recorded contents for editing or the like by recording retrieval data hierarchizing text data, image retrieval functional expression, sum nail image and still picture for the unit of frame at least in an inner peripheral part to write a table of contents(TOC). SOLUTION: The retrieval data to be written while being hierarchized in a TOC section to be recorded on the inner periphery of an optical disk are composed of text data 1, image retrieval functional expression 2, sum nail image 3 and still picture 4. In this case, the text data 1, image retrieval functional expression 2, sum nail image 3 and still picture 4 can be also recorded in the medium periphery or outer periphery excepting for the inner periphery stabilizing the recording state of the optical disk as needed. Then, these retrieval data are recorded for the unit of frame. Thus, the retrieval of text data or vague relational drawing can be highly accurately and speedily performed by keyword retrieval and furthest, simplified editing can be easily provided as well.
