The improvements consist in equipping the rotary carousel of the machine where the circumferential alignment of moulds defining the laminar pieces of paste for forming the wafer is established, which pieces, in a subsequent phase, will be definitively shaped into the form of a cone, with at least one temperature sensor 2 which permanently supplies information to a control device which compares the actual temperature of the process with the theoretical temperature and which governs the gas burners corresponding to the circuit for heating the machine, in such a manner, that, as a function of the actual temperature, variations therein are generated, positively or negatively, so that the paste to be shaped inside the moulds solidifies under optimum temperature conditions. The sensor 2 is mounted on a metallic thermal inertia mass 3 which absorbs momentary fluctuations in temperature in order to prevent incorrect orders from the control device to the burners. <IMAGE>
