PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with a lower profile while maintaining great surface and spatial distances between contacts. SOLUTION: A high voltage connector wherein the respective lead portions 17, 18, 19 of two pin contacts 4, 4 to be soldered to a printed wiring board are bent and extended outwardly of the sides and the soldered portions 19, 19 have pitches greater than the pitches of both contact pin portions includes a male connector 1 arranged in a housing 3 in the middle between both contact pin portions and provided with a partition wall 7 protruded longer than the ends of both contact pin portions and a female connector 2 formed in a fork shape with a pair of cylindrical bodies 24, 24. Socket contacts 22, 22 are contained in lateral attitude in an insulating housing 21 and their lances 34, 34 are laterally provided, and lance engagement portions 27, 27 are provided on the inside wall of the housing 3.
