PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct coil winding device which can wind a conductor directly on a stator accurately by using one fully automated device. SOLUTION: While a shaft 2 is made to penetrate the center axis part of a stator 6 along the inner circumferential surface of a jig 7 attached to a casing 5, after a conductor 1 is retained by a guide pin 9a and fitted to one slot 6a of the stator 6, the stator 6 is turned a predetermined angle in one direction to wind the conductor around the jig 7 outside the stator 6, the retainment between the guide pin 9a and the conductor 1 is released, the conductor 1 is retained by the guide pin 9a again in a state that the shaft 2 retreats from the center axis part and, after the conductor 1 is fitted to the other slot 6a, the stator 6 is turned the predetermined angle in the other direction to wind the conductor 1 one turn between the two slots 6a. By repeating the movement described above, a coil is formed between the two slots 6a.
