PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device displaying variable information, and also having high brightness and a simple structure. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a display body 4 having a color filter 6 and an optical head 13 having light emitting diodes 16 and a lens 20; the color filter 6 forms areas 8, 9, 10 for plural colors are formed therein; the light emitting diodes 16 form plural arrayed luminescence areas 21; the lens 20 focuses the light from each luminescence region 21 as each beam of light 22; and the respective areas 8, 9, 10 of the color filter 6 are selectively irradiated with each beam of light 22.
