PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor and a process cartridge and the electrophotographic apparatus, each having this photoreceptor high in mechanical strength and having high resistance to discharge due to direct chargeing and high scratch resistance due to repeated uses and low photomemory by incorporating an organic thermoplastic resin and a specified hardened product in a surface layer. SOLUTION: The surface layer of the photoreceptor has organic thermoplastic resin and the hardened product of a charge transfer compound having a group represented by formula in which A is a charge transfer group; R1 is a methyl, ethyl, or other alkyl group or phenyl, naphthyl, ot other aryl group; R2 is an alkyl, such as methyl, ethyl, or propyl group; (m) is an integer of 1-4; (l) is an integer of 2-5; and (n) is 0, 1, or 2. The thermoplastic resin, for example, may be constituted of a resin having for a main chain of a straight or cyclic C chain composed of single bond, a resin having for a main chain with an ester bond, a resin having for a main chain with a carbonate bond, a resin having a main chain with an ether bond, and a resin having a main chain with a siloxane bond, and the like.
