SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic emulsion high in sensitivity and resolution at the time of rapid processing and superior in covering power and small in occurrence of residual dye stains and uneven density and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The silver halide photosensitive emulsion is optionally controlled in the average distance in the course of growth defined by the expression: average intergrain distance=(reactant solution volume/growing grain number)1/3 and a photographic useful material is added at the growing time when the above distance becomes 0.6-1.0 times that of the growth starting time. This emulsion is manufactured by controlling the above average intergrain distance by a dispersion introducing means and a water introducing means and an aqueous solution discharging means through an ultrafiltration device.
