PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a broadcast signal receiver that counts a frequency of a switching signal without provision of an exclusive counter means to count the frequency of the switching signal by providing a switching power supply having a plurality of the switching signals with a different frequency. SOLUTION: The broadcast signal receiver is provided with a signal changeover switch 18 that selects an output of a controller 9 given to a frequency count circuit 13 or an output of an output amplifier section 15 given to the circuit 13. The signal changeover switch 18 connects the frequency count circuit 13 to the controller 9, the frequency of the 1st and 2nd switching signals outputted from the controller is counted and stored in a control microcomputer 14, and the frequency is compared with that of a broadcast signal that is selected so as to select the switching signal not giving disturbance onto this broadcast signal.
