PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form images of correct positions on both faces of transfer material by compensating deviation in the direction of width by moving the positions of images on both faces formed on an image forming body, according to the position detecting information of a transfer material width position detecting means. SOLUTION: In this image-forming device, position detection in the direction of width, is orthogonally crossed with the feeding direction of recording paper P, is carried out by a transfer material position detecting sensor PH utilizing a CCD licensor. The transfer material position detecting sensor PH is positioned at both ends of a reference position (P) when the recording paper P is fed normally, immediately before a timing roll 15b and detection of amount of deviation in the direction of a widthΔL1, of the recording paper P, which is fed deviated from the reference position (P) is carried out by the transfer material position detecting sensor PH at both ends. When the images of the front and back surfaces are formed on a photoreceptor drum, stating position for writing of image in a main scanning direction is deviated byΔL1, thus carrying out writing of image according to the position detecting information, and the image formation of the front and back faces with the recording paper P fed to the timing roll 15b as the reference is carried out. |
