PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent curling of a photoreceptor having flexibility and to prevent image irregularity by setting creep width within a specified value, when applying specified stress strain to the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In this image-forming device, where the electrophotographic photoreceptor provided with a photoreceptive layer on base substance having the flexibility is driven by using a driving roller whose diameter is 25 mm or smaller, the creep width is set within 0.01% when the stress strain of 0.5% is given to the upper roller 3, the lower roller 5 and the lateral roller 7 of the photoreceptor 1. In the image-forming device using the upper, the lower and the lateral rollers 3, 5 and 7 of the photoreceptor 1, whose diameters are 25 mm or smaller, the curl deteriorates suddenly, when the creep width exceeds 0.01% when applying the stress strain by 0.5% to the photoreceptor 1 and a phenomenon occurs in that the curl cannot be removed ever a considerably long time. When the image is formed in such a state, the image irregularity caused by curling, especiallys, the image irregularity in the direction perpendicular to the advancing direction of the photoreceptor 1 can be caused to occur cyclically. |
