PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the excellent fixing performance of small-sized paper and the reduction or the like of the error of the detected temperature of a temperature detecting member in an image heating device of a film heating system of zone heating using a heating body having plural heating elements whose lengths are different and an image forming device provided with the image heating device. SOLUTION: In this image heating device having the heating body 11 provided with the heating elements H1 and H2 generating heat by energizing a substrate 11a and film moving while its one surface is slid on the heating body and its other surface is brought into contact with a recording material carrying an image and heating the image on the recording material by the heat from the heating body through the film, the heating body 11 is constituted by successively arranging plural heating bodies H1 and H2 whose lengths are different in the paper passing direction X of the substrate 11a, and is provided with the heating element H1 whose paper passing width is set maximum on the upstream side of the paper passing direction, and is energized together with the heating element H1 at the energizing time of the other heating element H2. |
