PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the merit of the immediacy of an electronic still camera and also to effectively utilize it furthermore by providing storing means which stores a video signal from an image picking up means as a still picture, a displaying means which displays the video signal and a transmitting means which receives a video signal from a transmission line and storing the video signal from the transmission line in the storing means. SOLUTION: A video signal projected to a CCD 10 is recorded on recording media 14 by a signal processing circuit 11, a compression and expansion circuit 12 and a recording and reading circuit 13. Next, when a switch 15 is switched to a contact (a) side when a video signal is sent from a transmission line 17, the video signal received by a transmission unit 3 can be recorded on the media 14. When the user wants to see the video data recorded on the media 14, the circuit 13 reads them and they are projected on a monitor 2 through the compression and expansion circuit 12 and a reproduction circuit 16. |
