<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by reducing a memory capacity. SOLUTION: A pack identifying circuit 4 identifies the kind of encoding of an input stream. The input stream is stored in a data buffer 5. Also, the storage contents and storage addresses of the data buffer 5 are stored in each pointer 11-14 for each kind of encoding. Data transfer requests from decoders 7 and 8 are supplied from a read/write arbitrating circuit 15 to a read/write control circuit 6, and the read/write control circuit 6 reads corresponding packets from the data buffer 5, and supplies it to each of decoders 7 and 8 based on the information of each of pointers 11-14. Thus, even at the time of saving a stream buffer, decoding can be synchronously attained.</p> |
