<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure elimination of malfunction and to provide a flexible design of a communication unit and an interface of the unit while reducing time and labor required to realize revision of a communication protocol. SOLUTION: A communication unit 1 receives control information corresponding to the address space of a controller 2 from the controller 2 and stores the information sequentially. A command acquisition section 8 sequentially reads the control information stored in the memory 7 and broadcasts the information to each of detection section 9-1-9-m via a back end bus 12, each detection section detects whether or not the control information is the information to each communication protocol module corresponding to each detection section, and when the information corresponds to its own communication protocol, each detection section transmits the control information to its own communication protocol module, which executes the communication protocol processing, and a communication protocol management section 11 manages and processes data supplied to a connection medium between communication network interface sections 6-1-6-n and communication terminals 3-1-3-n corresponding to each of the communication network interface sections 6-1-6-n.</p> |
