REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of supplying uniform and bright display to a viewer by efficiently diffusing and reflecting incident light. SOLUTION: A light-diffusing layer 34 is provided on a reflection display electrode 19 provided on a TFT substrate 10, and a transparent electrode 21 which is connected to the reflection display electrode 19 is formed thereon. Thus a part of the light reflecting when the light is made incident on the diffusing layer 34 is also made to contribute to the display through a liquid crystal layer 23 and made to exit to the viewer's side, thereby enabling a uniform and bright display to be observed.
