PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic head capable of improving an S/N by reducing the impedance noise. SOLUTION: Notched parts 1a, 1b are provided on a 1st level difference part 21 arranged at both sides of a track part 24 on the part of a 1st core 20 of the track part 24 extended over 1st and 2nd cores 20, 22, or a 2nd level difference part 23 arranged at both sides of the track part 24 on the part of the 2nd core 22, and the 1st level difference part 21 and the 2nd level difference part 23 are confronted to each other while keeping the specified space L1 in the direction of the gap length L, and the notched parts 1a, 1b are arranged on the confronted part G of the 1st, 2nd level difference parts 21, 23 so as to partially enlarge the specified space L1.
